This amazing piece shows a scene taken straight from a Carboniferous seafloor, 350 million years ago. The crinoids that are fossilised here are the same creatures whose remains can be seen in our very own cave system, with these examples being superbly preserved and including the calyx (head) of the animal, which is usually destroyed and is rarely fossilised.

Due to the delicate nature of this fossil, it must either be collected or delivery must be arranged separately.
